Using iPrivateEye - Step by step
You can also view a video tutorial on how to create and publish your albums
Creating an album
1 - Put the album's pictures in a folder of your choice
2 - Create a UTF-8/Unicode plain text file named album-name.txt (TextEdit on Mac OS X / Notepad on Windows)
3 - Type your album's name in the album-name.txt file
4 - Select all of the newly created folder (step 1) items and right click. Select Compress Items on Mac or Send to->Compressed (zip) Folder on Windows
Downloading an album
For iPrivateEye to download an album, it must first be placed in a web server.
1 - Put the zip file in a HTTP server
2 - Open iPrivateEye
3 - Type the full address of your album and touch "OK"
Note: If your're on Mac OS X, you can place the album in your Sites folder which is placed in your user Home folder. Then open System Preferences and enable web sharing on the "Sharing" pane.
Then, you can access the album in iPrivateEye by typing the URL "http://your-mac-hostname/~your-user-name/you-album-archive.zip" provided your handset has access to the same network your mac is it. This can be the case if you're using a wireless lan.
The easiest way to publish is to upload your albums to your ISP web account.
Hiding the Pictures
When you download an album, its contents are tagged with the active password defined in the handset's Settings app. To make them invisible, simply change the current password in the Settings app. To make them visible again, type in the same password used to download them.
